The Cooking Penguin is chef-founded and customer-centered. Chef Marco Gaona built it in 2020 on a simple promise: every client — from a small boardroom lunch to a 200-guest event — gets restaurant-grade food and service that actually listens.
Marco's craft was forged in demanding kitchens. Years cooking aboard cruise ships set a standard of cleanliness and speed that never slips, and training under accomplished chefs gave him the range behind our menus from around the world. He still designs every menu himself and signs off on every tray before it leaves the kitchen.
We serve all of the greater San Diego area — prepping fresh the morning of delivery and building each menu around what you and your guests actually want.
